Following the success and sell out of Stage One and high demand for Stage Two, Fernie investor and developer Parastone Developments recently announced the launch of Stage Three of its $200 million master-planned community, Montane, Fernie.
Located one kilometre from Fernie’s historic downtown, Stage Three of Montane, Fernie will be available for sale in early August. Buyers will have 17 home sites to choose from with prices ranging between $169,000 and $245,000. Lots vary in size from approximately 0.17 acres and 0.26 acres. All home sites offer spectacular views of mountain scenery.
“The release of Stage Three is a big milestone for us, as it means we’re on our way to completing the final stage of The Terraces, our first neighbourhood,” said Simon Howse, general manager of Parastone and investor in Montane, Fernie.
“The high demand we’ve seen for Stage One and Two is an indication of the gap we’re filling in the market. Outdoor enthusiasts can now live an active mountain lifestyle in a community located within a five minute walk from downtown Fernie.”
Located on the east end of Piedmont and Sunniva Drives, Stage Three home sites are situated on the moderately elevated benches south of the Creek Valley Commons and will include a collection of single family homes and cottages.
“Montane is Fernie’s fastest selling mountain community,” Howse said. “We’re anticipating strong sales with our Final Stage release so I encourage interested parties that are hoping to join our active mountain community to act quickly.”
Appealing to an active community, Montane, Fernie residents will have direct access to Fernie’s downtown via pedestrian walking trails and an extensive bike path network located within 100 meters of every home. Developed in partnership with the Fernie Trail Alliance, mountain biking trails stretch into the backyard wilderness of Castle Mountain and the Morrisey Range.
Parks and greenways will be scattered throughout the neighbourhood. It is anticipated that more than 70 per cent of the land will remain green space accessible to Montane, Fernie residents and the public. The Terraces neighbourhood consists of a total of 45 homes and will complete the first phase of the multi-stage, 600-acre community. At full build out, the value of all homes will be more than $200 million.
Montane, Fernie is flanked by Brewery Creek and Coal Creek, and enjoys being the closest new community to Fernie’s Historic Downtown.
Parastone has now completed servicing for all Stage One homes. Anticipated to close by the end of the month, Parastone has announced that there are only two remaining home sites available in Stage Two.
